Brief: Our client wanted a
full webshop to market and promote their range of hand-made beaded jewellery.
They wanted to be able to update the shop themselves as there is constantly new
product and information to be added. The ability to build and maintain a
mailing list was required which could be mailed to at regular intervals with
discount coupons and promotional offers.
Solution: We set up a full
database driven webshop (Cube Cart) and themed in a subtle understated manner
where the jewellery becomes the focus, not the shopping enviornment. Our client
learnt fast and added all the categories, products and descriptions themselves.
The shop was set up to take payment in realtime through the clients
PayPal account and also
handles post or fax orders via the built in form printer. It has a host of
features built-in such as a mailing list manager to allow visitors to sign-up
for news and updates and a sale manager and discount coupon feature to handle
product special offers. The shop is modular and can be added to at any time
should our client need to expand.
Comments: This Cube Cart
setup has given the client the ability to deliver their information, update the
site themselves and sell online in a global marketplace 24 hours a day. The
client takes payment by credit/debit card through their account with the very
reliable PayPal gateway.
This project was conceived and finished in under a week. As the client has a
hosting account with WebFusion they can easily expand to a larger solution as
their business continues to grow.
