Below we have listed the most common questions
that people ask when they are new to ecommerce. If you have a question not
covered here, please contact us and we will be
pleased to answer it.
Q) Why Would I Want a Shop or
Shopping Cart?
A) If you have a product or service
to sell you may want to sell it over the internet. For this you need a suitable
way of letting the customer purchase it. This is where a shopping cart or shop
comes in.
Q) What Is the Difference
between the Two?
A) In a nutshell. A shopping cart
can be added to an existing website so you can sell products. A standalone shop
is like a complete website in itself.
There are lots of other systems but
these are two very good examples.
Q) Explain Your Free Advice
Serice
A) If you are unsure about how to
proceed and what system to use this is for you. Tell us about your website and
what you want to sell and we will evaluate your needs and give you free
advicet. You can then use this to plan your online selling strategory free of
charge. Try it and see how easy it is.
Q) Sounds Too Good - Where's the
Catch?
A) There's absolutely no catch and
no charge. As well as your free recommendation we will show you our modest
charge for installing the system we recommend. You may chose to let us help you
or go off and do it yourself. It's as simple as that.
Q) How Much Do You
Charge?
A) It depends on your requirements
but our charges are always very resonable. A simple shopping cart can be set up
from as little as £125. Get in touch and let
us quote you with no obligation. We can charge a fixed price or by the hour.
You chose. You will be surprised just how affordable ecommerce can be.
Q) How Come Your Charges Are So
Reasonable?
A) Quite simply, we're experts in
this field and know where to find the best systems. We use open source software
or great value commercial software which is proven to be reliable and stable.
Our expertiese will save you time and money.
Q) What Is Opensource
Software?
A) It's free software basically.
Opensource software is written by people (sometimes called communities) who
believe in helping each other. They make the source code of their work freely
available for download by anyone under various free software licences. We
cannot charge you for the software, only for sourcing, installing and setting
it up.
Q) What Is Commercial
Software?
A) It's software that you pay for
and where you do not get access to the code. This is sometimes called closed
source software. A good example would be Microsoft windows where you have to
pay a licence fee for every copy you install. You also get no access to the
code. With a commercial shop program we have to pay a fee to the writer for
installing a copy for our customers. This is passed on to you as well as our
install and setup fee.
Q) Which One Would You Use For
Me?
A) We would recommend a few options
for you which would be both opensource and commercial. You would be shown the
benefits of each system but we would recommend the very best option in our
opinion. We are driven by customer service and satisfaction and not by bloating
our company profits. The main objective is that we get paid for keeping our
customers happy.
Q) What If I Have More
Questions?
A) Feel free to
get in touch anytime. We would be happy to help
further.
